Sophia Breitag, APRN,CNM

Sophia Breitag, APRN, CNM is a midwife dedicated to providing person-centered sexual and reproductive healthcare throughout all stages of life. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Yale University with specialties in Midwifery and Women’s Health and a concentration in Gender and Sexuality Health Justice. Before becoming a midwife, Sophia gained valuable experience as an EMT and inpatient withdrawal management nurse. 

Sophia’s practice is grounded in community, centered on reproductive justice, and guided by each person’s inherent wisdom and power. They are passionate about building meaningful relationships and finding joy and strength in life’s transitions. Sophia values communication, trust in physiological birth, and shared decision-making. She is especially passionate about providing culturally congruent care for members of the LGBTQ+ community, addressing reproductive hormone concerns, and supporting postpartum mental health. 

Beyond their professional life Sophia enjoys music, contact sports, baking, and laughing with loved ones.
