Kirstin Drake, APRN, CN, has been a nurse practitioner since 2008. She got her bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut and later earned a doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Massachusetts.
She worked in internal medicine for six and a half years before switching to cardiology because she wanted to help people with heart problems. This change shows her dedication to learning more about a field that means a lot to her.
Kirstin has had many job opportunities, but she finds the most joy in working with heart patients. She likes the challenges and complexities of cardiology. Kirstin believes in the importance of talking and connecting with patients and their families to make sure their healthcare needs are met with respect and understanding.
In 2015, Kirstin moved to the Duluth/Superior area and joined Essentia Health. She is proud to be part of a team that cares for the community. Kirstin is committed to giving patients the respect and attention they deserve and works with them to create personalized healthcare plans.
