Bio

David Kunstman, MD, is a dedicated family medicine physician and clinical informaticist who provides compassionate care to patients of all ages at Essentia Health. With a focus on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and sports injuries, Dr. Kunstman is committed to helping individuals lead healthier, more active lives. 

He earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin and completed his residency in family medicine at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. With over two decades of experience, Dr. Kunstman has combined his clinical expertise with leadership in medical informatics. In this role, he has worked to enhance the use of technology in healthcare, improving patient outcomes and supporting provider wellness. His efforts have helped physicians and health systems adopt innovative tools to deliver more efficient and personalized care. 

Dr. Kunstman is particularly passionate about preventive care and empowering patients to use technology in ways that enhance their health. He believes in fostering lifelong wellness and encourages his patients to stay active and engaged in their health journeys. 

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Kunstman enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking, cycling, and swimming. He is also an avid photographer, capturing the beauty of the world around him. Through his work and hobbies, Dr. Kunstman exemplifies a commitment to health, balance, and the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of life.
