Cherie Dowell, PA-C, is a family practice provider with Essentia Health. She has a strong educational background and professional experience in the medical field. Cherie earned her bachelor's degree in zoology from North Dakota State University, which laid the foundation for her medical career. She then pursued her medical degree at the University of North Dakota, where she gained the skills and knowledge necessary to become a successful healthcare provider. 

Before joining Essentia Health, Cherie worked at Welia Health in Mora, Minnesota, for three years. During her time there, she was recognized for her exceptional care and dedication, earning the title of Best Provider in Kanabek County for 2024. Her patients appreciated her compassionate approach and her ability to address their health concerns effectively. 

Cherie is passionate about family practice and has a wide range of interests within the field. She is particularly focused on pediatrics, weight management, and ADHD, areas where she strives to make a positive impact on her patients' lives. Her commitment to these specialties reflects her desire to help individuals and families achieve better health outcomes.
