Anemia Care
If your child's blood doesn't have enough healthy red blood cells or hemoglobin, the cells in the body will not get enough oxygen. This can lead to anemia.
A simple blood test can be used to diagnose anemia. Talk to your child's primary care doctor if you notice the following symptoms:
- Extreme tiredness
- Running out of breath during play or exercise
- Unusual irritability
- Pale or yellow skin
Your child's doctor may refer you to a pediatric hematologist to determine possible causes and explain treatment options.
Team-Based Care
Our pediatric oncologists and hematologists work with a team of pediatric sub-specialists. With access to a wide range of children's doctors, you'll get family-centered care tailored to you.
