Infusion Therapy
Infusion therapy—also called intravenous or IV therapy—lets your health care provider deliver medication into a vein in your body with a needle or catheter.
Sometimes, infusion therapy is the most effective way for you to take a certain drug. You also may benefit from faster results and shorter treatments with less discomfort or risk of side effects. This service is available on an inpatient and outpatient basis.

Your Care Team
Receive one-on-one care from professionals with specialized training in the treatments they administer. Whether you need short-term or long-term care, trust that our staff will get to know you, answer your questions, provide education, and personalize your experience.
Count on our team to explain potential side effects and how to manage them. We’ll also coordinate any needed follow-up care, such as check-in calls, additional infusions, or an appointment with another specialist.
Infusion Centers
When you visit an Essentia facility for infusion therapy, you can:
- Bring a loved one for emotional support
- Keep a favorite pillow or other item from home with you
- Enjoy amenities like warm blankets, refreshments, free Wi-Fi, aromatherapy, or iPads to watch Netflix
Ask your care team about the amenities available at the location where you’ll get care.
Ambulatory Infusion Services
Depending on your health condition and treatment, you may have ambulatory infusion care. This means you’ll be able to safely move throughout the clinic during your treatment without having to stay in a bed or chair.
