Tech Hub for Students in Deer River
Due to a generous donation of $23,500, Deer River area residents can now gather at a Tech Hub located in Deer River's Goodall Resource Center.
A grassroots group of Deer River area residents, educators, and community partners have met over the last several years to discuss the systemic issues in the Deer River area. The group landed on the innovative idea of a community tech hub to help change the story for local youth.
Since the inception, 373 students signed in at the Tech Hub between November 30 and January 27.
With Internet Access identified as a Community Health Needs Assessment priority area in Deer River, this initiative specifically advances health equity and is a community collaborative success.
